| How awesome is this picture? |
How incredible was the timing that my mom retired from teaching two days before Patrick was born? Luckily, she had devoted a good majority of her newfound freedom this summer to helping us with the little ones and with stuff around the house. I never saw myself as good with accepting help. When Olive was born, we were bound and determined to make it on our own, to act like we had it all together. When the news of Patrick hit us, though, we knew we needed help, but didn't know how much it'd really take to keep up with status quo. Thanks to my mom for patiently helping with Olive and Patrick, playing, bathing, cleaning, watching them while Mike and I get OUT every once and a while (no easy feat!), helping around the house with dishes, laundry, etc. I love her so much! I only hope to help out my babies as much as she's helped me out someday!

Thank goodness for mothers!
