Olive's First Zoo Trip

We decided to take Olive to the Brookfield Zoo, her first ever zoo trip, while baby Patrick stayed home with Mee Mee (grandma). Despite the heat and skipping both naps (!), she had a blast and was such a good girl!

Shortcuts for Two Under Two

Holy cow, life with two under two is craze-tastic. Thankfully we have my mom around to help us daily, otherwise I feel like nothing would get done. The kids are sleeping at the moment (never happens!) so I'll take a second to jot down a few shortcuts that have helped so far:

• Give snack in whatever room you're in. Not everything has to be eaten in a highchair or kitchen.
• Fruit/veggie pouches are a lifesaver.
• Mix a container of formula (24 hours' worth) and store it in the fridge for quick bottle-making.
• Keep a diaper/wipes bin in any room in which you spend a good amount of time. No more unneeded trips up and down the stairs! We use these:

• Give yourself one household job goal per day. Just ONE. Anything over that is a big accomplishment.

I can't believe I haven't yet died from sleep deprivation that Patrick is already one month old! He's our little sweet bear.
